The season is now half way through and the club is enjoying two great successes this week.
Junior Welsh Merit

15 year old Bryn Hughes won the Welsh Junior Merit at Coed Talon Bowling Club last Sunday 29-June. He beat Daniel Palmer(Greenfield) 21-6, Michael Hughes (Llay) 21-19, Lewis Scott (St. Asaph) 21-19, and Ioan Critchlow (Bethesda) 21-10.
Bryn and runner-up Ioan Critchlow will go on to represent Wales in the British Junior Merit Finals in Derbyshire on 16-August.
The Clubs other qualifier, Daniel Jones was unfortunately eliminated in the first round.
Gwynedd Cup
The Club Team won the Gwynedd Cup, last Thursday 3-July, at Beaunaris. This is the fourth time the Club has won the Cup, the other three in the eighties, and they were runners-up in 2001.
They were the underdogs against Deganwy, but after the first four blocks, with good performances by Dave Massey and Terry Hampton the teams were level on aggregate. The games wee tight but with two good wins 21-11 by Neville Roberts and Gareth Williams, the team came through to win by 5 points.
The team was Gareth Hughes, Bryn Hughes, Daniel Jones, Alan Hughes, Terry Hampton, Dave Massey, Neville Roberts, Gareth Williams and reserve Bill Hitchinson.
D.T.Evans, the President of the Gwynedd Bowling Association presented the Cup to Gareth Hughes, and the Club will go forward to represent Gwynedd in the Club Championship on 7-September.

Team Reports
North Wales Coast League
The A Team have won 5 of their 11 matches in Section A and are in the lower half of the table.
The B Team are doing well in Section C and are top of the table having lost only one of their 10 matches, 9-5, to Penygroes away.
Llandudno and District League
There is only a points difference between the A and B teams in Section A with both teams having won 5 games each, and the crunch match comes this week when they play each other.
The C Team in Section B are playing well having won 8 of their 11 matches and are second in the table two points behind Penrhyn New Hall.
The A and the C teams are through to the semi-finals of the Cup competition in their respective sections.
Welsh Counties
There are only 4 points difference between the bottom four clubs in Division 2 and Craig-y-Don are on of the teams battling it out.
Gwynedd Senior Citizens League
The team started well, but then slipped and have won only 4 of their 9 matches. There are only 5 points differencebetween the four team above them so they are in with a chance of improving their position.
Llandudno and District Junior League
Menai Bridge have pulled out of the league leaving only four team.
The team have played well considering they only started this year and have won one and lost one.
My thanks go to Gareth Hughes and Terry Hampton who have taken the juniors to the intercounty games on Saturday mornings.
The juniors come along with the A Team as reserves and Bryon Roberts came off with a good win against St.Asaph the other week.
