CYD
NEWSLETTER
24 - May - 2004
It was a sad start to the season with the loss of two long standing members. Eddie Edwards a stalwart of the club and former greensman died after a stroke in April. He was a sportsman to the game of bowls and had mon many a competition. I had heard a remark that he had the perfect delivery.
Mrs Nell Saville died this month, a former Ladies captain and an ever smiling player on the green, always giving encouragemnent to others.
They will be sadly missed by their friends and our deepest sympaphy goes to Audrey, Ken and their families.
On a happier note Terry Hampton is out of hospital and living at home with the help of carers. He is recovering slowly and we wish him all the best.
We are around five or six games into the season and the 'A' and 'B' teams are evens in mid table of Section 'A' of the Llandudno and District league with the 'C' team third in Section 'B'. In the North wales Coast League the c'A' have played six won three, drawn one and the 'B'have played six, won three. The other teams are just starting their fixtures.
