The winter season is coming to an end and the winter green has seen bowling almost everyday, weather permitting, and on sunny days up to 24 players. The winter green closes for maintenance on the 23rd March for a week and our No.1 green opens.

At our AGM in January I (Bill Hitchinson) relenquished the post of Hon Secretary after twelve years, and I am now assisting the new Hon Secretary John Lloyd Owen while he settles in. I wish him all the best. John's address is :

The committee approved plans for improvements to the club's surrounds by providing patio areaseither side of the clubhouse, for a seating area, presentation area whilst improving access for the disabled. We have been lucky to recieve a grant from the NEW HORIZON TRUST which provides grants to clubs, associations and organisations where a number of members are over 60 and are prepared to carry out the work themselves. Having now recieved the grant, it is hoped to have most of the work completed by Easter.

Members are working to get the club spic and span for the start of the new season on March 23rd. Everyone is looking forward to the new season. Two of our teams the A and the B are looking forward to the new challenge in the North Wales Coast League, having gained promotion in their respective sections.

'ROVING JACK' LEAGUE (PRESTATYN)

The CYD team are coming to the end of the winter league and look to be heading for a good middle of the table position. They have had some excellent wins but have also been well beaten on occasions by teams who are much more experienced on the indoor surface. Next year should see an improvement in their final league position.
